Week 5 - 7.7.25

Year 2 have had another busy week. 

This is what we have been up to so far this week:

Maths- we have been working hard on our 3 and 4 times tables.  We have also been practicing telling the time e.g. 20 minutes to 4, 15 minutes to 4.  This is very tricky so we have been practicing with the clocks to help us.

English - we have been reflecting on our year and thinking about what we want to do next year.  

We are also looking forward to visiting Hyde Hall as part of our Science work and our much anticipated Sports and Arts Day this Friday.

HOME LEARNING - 11.7.25

Here are your home learning tasks for this week:

1. Read everyday, this will help you to become more fluent and to understand what you read.

2. These are our final set of spellings for Year 2. There are 14 spellings this week, learn as many as you can.
These will be checked on Friday 18th July in our spelling quiz.
Please learn all 14 and if you would like an extra task then these can be written into sentences.

3. Your home learning this week is to work on your 4 times tables. Have a go at Hit the button x4 game online https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button
