Here are your home learning tasks for this week:
1. Read everyday, this will help you to become more fluent and to understand what you read.
2. In Phonics this week we have been working on the sounds ai, ay, a_e, eigh, ei, a, ey along with the tricky words - your, by, here, love, school.
How many of these can you spot in your reading book? Can you spell the tricky words too?
3. Your spellings for this week are attached. These will be checked next Friday 29th November in our spelling quiz. Please learn all 10 and if you would like an extra task then these can be written into sentences.
4. Your task this week is to go on a shape hunt around your house. This week in Maths we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes and their properties - edges, vertices and we've named them. Can you find a pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon and any 3D shapes in your house? Make a list of them and name them correctly e.g. in my cupboard I can see a Bean can which is a cylinder shape. I've attached a list of the 2D and 3D shapes to remind you. Let me know what you found and where they were on your shape hunt.
Please either bring the tasks in, log them on here or make a note of them in your Partnership book to show me.
