Welcome to Cedar Class! 🌿

A very warm welcome to Cedar Class! We are so excited for the year ahead and look forward to getting to know all of our children and families. We have lots of exciting learning, experiences and opportunities planned, and we can’t wait to see the children grow, learn and thrive together.

Our class teachers are Mrs Sampson and Mrs Jude, and we are always here to support the children and make their time in Cedar Class happy, positive and successful.

🏃‍♀️ P.E. Days

Our P.E. days are every Monday and Tuesday. Please send your child into school wearing their P.E. kit on these days. From November 2026, our PE day will be a Tuesday only. Both sessions will be this day!

🏠 Home Learning

Weekly home learning will always include:

• 📚 Daily reading – please encourage your child to read regularly at home.
• ✏️ Spelling practice – our weekly spellings will be shared on Google Classroom and on this page.

• 🎸 Times Tables Rock Stars – Please encourage your child to practise their times tables as often as possible. Just 21 minutes per week on Garage (3 minutes a day!) is the recommended amount to help build speed, fluency and confidence.

  In Year 4, all children take the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC), so regular practice is incredibly important. A few minutes each day really can make a big difference!
