Positive Mental Health at Wyburns
Mental Health and Wellbeing at Wyburns Primary School
At Wyburns Primary School, we actively promote positive mental health and wellbeing for all members of our school community – children, families, and staff. We provide a nurturing environment where emotional health is valued and supported through a range of initiatives, including:
-
Access to pastoral support and regular check-ins with our Pastoral Lead
-
ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants)
-
Well-being workshops
-
Opportunities to participate in community events that build connections and support networks
We work closely with families to provide guidance, signpost external services, and ensure children and adults alike have access to the support they need. We also liaise with external organisations, including local health professionals, mental health charities, and community groups such as the Mega Centre, to broaden the support available and ensure everyone at Wyburns feels listened to, supported, and equipped to thrive.
