Wow, where did that time go?
It is our last full week in Year 2.
It has been a pleasure to teach each and everyone of you, thank you for being so amazing and resilient all academic year.
This week there are no spellings because you have learnt them all, well done!
If you would like to keep learning this week and in the summer holidays here are some ideas:
- Practice all the times tables you have learnt this year - x2, 5, 10, x3, 4 and 6
- You could even try to learn your x8's as a challenge ready for Year 3.
- Read as much as you can and you could even write a book review and bring it into school with you in September. Remember the Essex library reading challenge is on and it is free to join, a great way to enjoy a huge range of books.
- Keep a diary of your holidays, what were your favourite parts and why.
A few reminders for next week:
- Please send your child in with a hat everyday as it is very hot on the field and we are outside as much as possible.
- Please send your child into school with a named carrier bag on MONDAY to bring their books home in.
- On Tuesday they have requested to bring in their own board or card games (e.g. Uno, Dobble, Connect 4) from home as part of their reward for working super hard in Year 2. Please ensure these are named and please do not send in any electrical devices.
For now we have 2 days left, which we can't wait to spend with you making memories at the end of the year.
Enjoy your weekend!
Mrs Clark
