This week Class 2 have been working on the following areas:
Maths – solving tricky word problems and telling the time to quarter past, quarter to and five minute intervals. Great resilience with this tricky task everyone.
English – we have continued working on the Traction Man story. We have retold the story in sections and chosen our vocabulary really carefully, fabulous.
Computing – we have been focussing on music, inspired by the planets. We discussed how it feels, sounds and why this is. We then used Chrome Music Hub to make our own music on the computers, fab creativity everyone!
PE – we have continued to work on our ball skills to dribble, pass accurately and receive the ball. We also worked on our running skills in athletics ready for Sports day.
A great job this week everyone, well done and keep up the super resilience.
Home Learning
Here are your home learning tasks for this week:
1. Read everyday, this will help you to become more fluent and to understand what you read.
2. Your spellings for this week are attached. These will be checked on Friday 9th May in our spelling quiz.
Please learn all 10 and if you would like an extra task then these can be written into sentences.
3. Your home learning this week is to continue working on your skills to tell the time. You need to be able to tell the time accurately to 5 minute intervals e.g. five past 12, twenty-five past six, ten to 9. You can use the teaching clock to make times - https://www.topmarks.co.uk/time/teaching-clock
Also use these websites to match to the times:
1-Hickory, Dickory, clock game - https://ictgames.com/mobilePage/hickoryDickory/
2 -Matching the times to the clocks https://www.scootle.edu.au/ec/viewing/L9643/index.html
