Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!

Cat in the Hat

 The Cat in the Hat!

This week we have been thinking a lot about rhyming words. We have been working hard in phonics to match rhyming words and have been listening out for them in the books we have been sharing. Maybe you can spot some rhyming words in your books at home!

We have been hunting for shapes all week and enjoying songs about shapes. I will put some of the shape photos the children took below. I will also attach a link to a great shape song that has helped us all to learn new shape names.

The children have also been working on their painting skills. They have been trying really hard to use there paintbrushes in a gentle stroking motion, producing beautiful raincoats for the Cat in the Hat and painting some very funny rhyming pictures!

Shapes we found in the playground! Can you name them?
