Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!

Week 2 - 22.4.24

Wow, what a busy week we have had, from Molly-Mae Sharpe visiting us on Tuesday to litter picking around the school to help our environment and wildlife.

Our visit from Molly-Mae Sharpe, a professional football player from Crystal Palace, was inspiring. The children completed a fitness circuit with her, learnt all about her in assembly and even got to ask her questions. There are some great photos of the children in action below, take a look.

Also this week we have been learning:

Maths - to solve number problems including adding, subtraction, multiplying and dividing.  We have also continued to work on our x8 and x4 times tables.

English - We have written the story of the Traction Man, created a new t-shirt for him and written questions to ask him.  We have also worked hard on our spellings and grammar including prefixes and suffixes.

Class 2 completed a litter pick around the school to keep our environment and wildlife safe.  The children had great fun with the litter pickers!

In Science we have looked at microhabitats, been on a bug hunt, learnt about how animals depend on each other and their environment, learnt about bees and their importance to our planet, as well as creating food chains.

Great work everyone!
