Spring 1 - Week 5

A fab week to end a fab half term!

This week we finished our work on ordering numbers (with another fun game with chalk on the playground) and moved onto addition. We are going to carry on with this when we get back and also work on subtraction as well as lots of other skills!

Our English took us back to the world of Paddington where we wrote beautiful descriptions of our furry friend. It was the perfect end to a wonderful half term of writing. I wonder what Spring 2 has in store for us!

We also began looking at plants and animals in our Science, which we will continue to work on next half term.

Further to this, we also had Mental Health Week. The focus was to 'connect' with others. In the spirit of this, we teamed up with Year 5 and some of Year 6 to design puzzle pieces filled with things we love and that make us happy. We then pieced them together and saw lots of different connections. Even though we are different ages and in different classes, we still have so much in common. Here are some photos of the fun!

Another fun day we had was our DT day! We looked at different fruits and vegetables, how to prepare them and then had a taste testing session. We had mixed reviews on the spring onions...

We then used all our knowledge to create a delicious wrap inspired by Chinese vegetable spring rolls! Thankfully, most of us thought the end result was delicious and we had so much fun making them.
