Happy New Year

Welcome back!

we have had a busy, yet productive start to the new term! Last week we hit the ground running with a cross trust project, that we will share with the other schools. Our task wa to create poetry with a new beginings theme. The children worked extremely hard to create inventive poems. They then presented them using video (on imovie) as a medium.

This week has been all about light. We have started to investigate the fascinating science behind how we see. This topic has involved lots of hands on investigations, which we have loved!

This has linked really well with our English this week and we will be creating DPS's on Light. The children have creative licence over the type of non-fiction text and how they choose to present it. Some are creating explanation texts and other non-chronological reports. I will share them once completed.

The year 6 children have really come back with renewed enthusiasm - long may it continue!
