Online - 4th September

Hi Class 1! I am super excited to catch up with you on Zoom tomorrow (5^th September) to catch up and talk about our exciting plans for the next couple of weeks.

Today (4^th September), I would like for you to complete the activities below to ease yourself into online learning.

Maths

Please have a look at the sorting worksheet and give it a go. This can be printed out or you can draw the shapes yourself.

English

For the next two weeks, we will be working on poetry. I have attached the poem Nut Tree by Julia Donaldson and also put up a video of me reading the poem. Please read/listen to the poem and then draw pictures of the different stages in the poem. E.g. one of the nut underground, one of it beginning to grow etc.

Afternoon

Following the theme of nature from our English work in the morning, I would like you to go on a nature hunt outside and draw a picture of something that takes your interest. This could be an animal, a plant, a tree, or anything else in nature. We can then show the pictures on our Zoom call tomorrow.

Finishing the day

To end, please log into BugClub and choose a book from the website to read by yourself or with a grownup. This could be in the day, at bedtime or whenever works for you.
