Happy Birthday Bananas! Today, for Big Write, we celebrated Bananas' 7th birthday in style! Then we enjoyed writing a recount about it afterwards too. :)

Keystage 1's visit to Tesco was very exciting! We had a tour of the store, found what countries fruit and veg come from and tried lots of tasty healthy snacks! It was a brilliant day.

Thank you for your super home learning projects! The animal homes look fabulous and Class 7 enjoyed sharing them with each other.

WOW! What a fantastic Internet Safety Day. We had a fun-filled day, packed full of activities, to think about how we can be safe online.

Can you remember any of the rules?

How can you be safe online?

Why do you love the internet?

We loved hearing about Banana's trip to Daniel's house!

WOW! This afternoon Class 7 were busy creating their own animal piece of music. They worked in teams and choose different instruments to imitate different animals.

Class 7 are feeling very healthy! We have learnt all about eating a balanced diet, exercising and keeping ourselves clean!

We have enjoyed making our very own fruit smoothies too. Take a look at some of our snaps from our healthy journey!

Thank you for all your support for Children in Need this week! The children's costumes looked amazing and this inspired them to create fantastic stories for their Big Write. We raised over £200 in total!

Class 7 turned into an art studio! We have been practising our sketching and shading skills this week. The children were very enthusiastic about drawing scenes from London and Rayleigh.

Bonkers about Bananas!

WOW!!!!! We are amazed at your beautiful London landmarks that you created over half term! You must have been very busy.

The children are taking it in turns to explain how they made there model to the class and have had a Key Stage 1 museum to showcase our masterpieces.

Internet Safety day

Class 7 have been busy looking at who is an online stranger. We watched a clip about Lee and Kim playing a game called Animal Magic and how they found out about strangers. We thought carefully about how to stay safe when we are on the internet. Look at some of our posters! Stay safe!

Don't forget to attend the Book Fair in the hall after school every day!

Class 7 have gone book crazy this book week!

Our book of the week is Fantastic Mr Fox. We have been busy solving foxy problems, inventing characters, writing invitations and much more!

Class 7 took part in an exciting Big Write this week. A ladder appeared in the pond, did someone climb out? Did someone climb in? The children used their imagination to create super stories!

We have been busy designing futuristic fire engines! Our designs have been evaluated and improved and we are now ready to make! Please bring in any recycling for junk modelling that we could use to build our fire engines. :)

This could be boxes, toilet tubes, bottle tops- the list is endless!

Thank you in advance,

Miss Milner

Sports4fun – Multi - skills

There is a very exciting opportunity to participate in our Multi – skills after school club. The activity will be different for each week including rugby, football, basketball and dodgeball.  Please ring Tarkan on 07956 254052 for more information and to book your slot.

Today we turned into Firemen! We had to explore which materials were the best for holding water. These materials helped us to hold the water so we could put the pretend fire out.

Can you remember which material was the best?

Thank you for bringing your wellies in! :)

More pictures from the fireman visit!

More surprise visitors came to Wyburns yesterday!

We had a fantastic time learning all about a fireman's job. Mark, Lee and Darren told us all about their jobs, showed us their special fire fighting equipment and even let us try on their protective fire clothing! Not to forget being shown around and sitting in the fire engine.

Can you remember anything the fireman taught us?

Does a fireman only put out fires?

Next week the children will be investigating which materials are waterproof. We will become fireman and explore which buckets hold the most water.  Please could you provide a pair of wellies. It would be fantastic if you could bring these into school on Monday and left at school for the whole week. Thank you!

Another great week for Class 7! Please remember to keep reading at home and get yourself up our reading chart! Certificates will be given out every Friday... who will it be today?

Class 7 were lucky to have a surprise visitor this week. Reverend Nick taught us about his job, what he wears and how he helps people. Can you remember anything Reverend Nick does during the day? Bring it in on a post it and we can share as a class!

Reading is our Superpower!

Check out Class 7's new reading chart! Who will get to the top first?

Partnership books need to come in every day and if signed children can change their book. The more you read the better! Don't forget you can read other books, magazines and texts. It is all reading!

What a fantastic week Class 7 are having! We have been very busy and even had time to make these super cool fireman! Children practised their DT skills (cutting, colouring, gluing and folding) while making them! :)

Keep up the reading at home! We now have our new superhero chart, lets see if everyone in Class 7 can be at the top by the end of next week!

Miss Milner :)

What a fantastic first week back! Class 7 have settled in well and have been bursting with brilliance already!

Our new topic is London's Got Talent! Can you remember any interesting facts about London? Can you remember where the Queen lives?

We visited the library for the first time this year! Friday is our library day, please bring your library books back on a Friday to be changed! :)

You have also received your reading books, these can be changed as often as needed once you have read them! The more often the better, so get reading!

Home learning will be sent out in your folder every Friday and needs to be completed and handed in by the following Wednesday.

We are looking forward to more brilliance this Week!

Miss Milner :)
