    Good Morning Wyburns Families,

We are busy getting things ready for your return and are very excited. It has been a busy summer, as we have had all the lighting throughout the school replaced following a successful DFE bid. Unfortunately, our very old roof let us down and we were subject to some 'big time' flooding in our kitchen, main hall and offices.

We are finalising the repairs and hope to re-roof in October half term.

You will also see we have upgraded our website, so that it is mobile friendly and hopefully easier to navigate.

Our September plan letter remains the same, as does our MAP showing the staggered arrival and departure times. We have not had to amend the details and will be publishing our September Risk Assessment as soon as it is approved by our Trust.

I expect there to be adaptations as we all try out the systems and make improvements. Time keeping will be the key to success, so please endeavour to arrive and collect on time.

We are happy to be flexible during the initial weeks and ask  the same of our families. If, due to an unexpected event, you do arrive after the classes have gone in, please wave at the office and they will radio the bubble to collect. If you are delayed collecting, please call and your child will remain with their teacher.

On Monday, there will be staff outside directing our human traffic, maintaining the two metre social distance.

Please communicate via phone/ email as we are not receiving children at the main office unless there is an urgent drop off/ pick up.

Please rest assured that safety for everyone is our main goal, and ensuring that the children are happy and settled quickly and that anxieties are removed as much as possible.

We have plenty of sanitiser, soap and towels and the classrooms have been set to maximise personal space.

We will be making use of our outside space as much as possible, including a newly renovated forest area with a class size canopy.

Whilst uniform is not expected for the first half term, I would encourage a speedy transition; to re-establish our Team feel.

Dinners can be ordered and paid for online and will be live soon.

So, all we need are our children.

    Best wishes

Kath Sansom & All of the Team.
