Week 3 - Author Visit, More Place Value & Poetry!
FUN FUN FUN!!
Our learning sure has been exciting this week! In our maths, we finished our place value and have moved onto addition and subtraction. We have begun with investigating part whole models and next week we will delve deeper into these two operations. Here are some snaps of the learning.
In English, after all of our hard work we have now finished our shape poetry which we named 'The Nature Hunt'. The results were absolutely beautiful. Check out some of our work...
We were also visited this week by the author, Ross King, who read us some of his new book. We LOVED it and it was super exciting to meet an author in real life. We were all very inspired and cannot wait to write our own stories this year.
For your home learning this week, I would like for you to learn a part or all of the poem attached. You can either video it and upload to the Google Classrooms assignment or you can show us in class.
