Hello Class 2.
What a great week we have had, beginning with a fun Bank Holiday Monday! It has been great to see you all refreshed and smiling after the long weekend and wow have you worked your socks off this week, as always.
We have had fun learning about time in our Mathematics lessons this week where you have amazed us all with how quickly you have learnt all about analogue clocks and telling the time to o'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. We know that the minute hand is longer so it can help us be super accurate time tellers to the minute and the hour hand is the shorter one.
In our English lessons we have been busy exploring instructions and have been finding out the features of an instruction text - imperative verbs (bossy verbs), time conjunctions, short concise numbered sentences, equipment lists, bullet points and helpful labelled diagrams. We have even practised using these before we write our own set of instructions next week. As well as this, we have been working on our computing and music skills. How did we fit all that in?
Well done on a super, successful week.
Keep that brilliance bursting out Class 2 and we will see you all on Monday.
Have a great weekend.
