Our week

A busy first week back! These weeks are certainly flying.

This week we have started to look at fractions in maths and are getting our heads around and and subtracting, proper and improper and ordeing and compaing. All children are super confident with fluency, we are now working on applying our new skills to tricky reasoning and problem solving questions.

This week has been a week of poetry! We started the week remembering the soldiers who fought in WW1 (and all conflicts since) and created poignant poems. We then completed blackout poetry using classic poems from the era. (photos to follow!)

Our Viking boats are finally finished! The children decided between them, who would take it home so you may have one of them at home now!

We are busy practising for the Lights switch on at the end of the month. I am so pleased that over 2/3 of the children are able to join us. 

Home learning is on google classroom. Please complete and turn in or, hand it in to school.
