Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!

Autumn 2 - Week 2

Another week that's passed in a flash!

Our English has been wonderful! We have written wonderful shape poetry where we improved a previous piece of work and used it to write our poems. We wrote promises for how we would make our world and environment a better place. Here are a few examples...

We also began work on writing postcards as Paddington Bear as he arrived in London, writing back to Aunt Lucy in Darkest Peru! Watch this space to see our beautiful postcards, coming soon!

In maths it has been number bonds, bumber bonds, number bonds!

We looked for new and creative ways to learn and remember them. One example of this was drawing around our hands, cutting them out and sticking the palms down so we could fold the fingers to help us like in the photo below.

As well as Christmas play practise (yay!), we have also completed some RE work this week. Since it was the Sikh celebration of Gurpurab on Tuesday (the birthday of Guru Nanak), we learnt about the festival and made cards for Guru Nanak.
