Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!

Year 6 have had a super busy week this week!

From fractions to letter writing; UK trade to singing; we have filled our week!

The children simplified fractions using their knowledge of common factors, before moving on to ordering and comparing. They were able to build upon their previous learning and became successful fractionators!

Our English lessons this week have been linked with Remembrance. An emotive topic that the children dealt with sensitively. We learnt about the Christmas truce and wrote letters (in the role of a soldier) home. Emotive and well thought out, the children are starting to think carefully about their reader.

Swimming this week was a huge success! We had some swimmers take off their buoyancy aids this week and others mastering new strokes. Fabulous achievements across the board. We understand that some children find swimming quite daunting and are so incredibly proud of the resilience and determination displayed by all the children swimming this week!

In singing news, we have been busy practising for the annual lights switch on event. We hope you will come along and support us. This is the first one since 2019!

Have a fabulous weekend all
