Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!

Week 5 - 5.2.24

The brilliance has been shining though this week!

Class 2 have all been working so very hard on their handwriting skills, great job everyone!

Maybe some of you will receive your pen licence soon.

We begun the week with well-being activities across the school as part of our Mental Health Week.  Year 2 teamed up with Year 6 and Year 3 to find out about each other where they made created hand designs and chatty dolls.  Everyone was very kind and considerate, there were lots of smiling faces too, what a great afternoon it was!  Take a look at some of the photos I took above.

As part of our learning this week we have been working on:

Maths - multiplying and dividing by using arrays to represent them.

English - you have used conjunctions including: if, but, so, and, because... to write detailed sentences, fab! We have also worked on plurals to discuss more than one object e.g. vase-vases.

Reading comprehensions, including answering questions about a text, have also been part of this weeks learning focus.

Computing - we had great fun in the computing hub this week as we worked on our typing skills. We worked on our mouse control, typing skills and even change the size and colour of the font on our text. Great job!

We also used the iPads to create animations, this was tricky but we had inspiration from real people in the industry, which inspired us to try our very best.  Some create designs, well done!

Keep up the great work Class 2!
