Doctors and Nurses Dress up Day

Dress up day- Thursday 5th July!

The NHS is turning 70 this year and  Southend Hospital Charity are asking all Pre Schools, Nurseries and Primary Schools in the area to show their support.

To mark this truly amazing achievement, we are holding a Doctors and Nurses Dress Up Day on Thursday 5th July (the day the NHS was launched). All children need to do is dress up as a doctor, nurse or healthcare professional and make a £1 donation to take part. Whether they raid their toy box for a doctor’s kit, make a nurses hat, wear a white shirt or simply put a bandage on and be a patient, it’s easy to take part and a great way of learning about people who help us in the classroom!

We will be doing lots of different activities on the day around people who help us.
