Music - Our First Lesson

In music, we have begun looking at music that has been popular at different times. We looked closely at Hip Hop music! We listened to a song called ‘Hey You!’ and worked together to appraise it. We did lots of exercises to investigate the pulse and the rhythm of the music. We clapped and moved along! Then we used our voices to look at pitch and thought about different speeds of music.Here is a video of us using our bodies to find the pulse and our voices to look at pitch.

Here you can  see us applying our knowledge by learning and singing the song. This is one of our first tries. There's lots of practise ahead!
