Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!

Autumn 2 - Week 7

F I N A L     W E E K     B E F O R E     C H R I S T M A S !

Our final week has been full of excitement!

On Monday, we had our final performance of our nativity and we ROCKED IT! After working so hard on our Christmas play this half term, it all came together and it was absolutely amazing! Well done for all the practise, in school and at home. You were brilliant, Year 1!

Here is a copy of the programme from our show!

We have also had a delicious Christmas dinner...

...and a wonderful trip to the Pantomime!

Don't worry though, we have still continued with our learning! In our English, we have written informative non-chronological reports/fact files on the big man himself...Father Christmas! We imagined ourselves giving them to the aliens from our play as they would not know anything about Santa! We told them about what he looks like and what he does. We of course finished it of with a wonderful picture of him too!

We have also begun looking at shape too! We used circles, squares, rectangles and triangles to make Christmassy pictures. We then had to stand in front of the class and share our creations, telling the class which shapes we used for the different parts of our pictures.

We cannot wait for more brilliance in January.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, YEAR 1!
