The School Day

Wyburns shares the site with Toad Hall Nursery, an independent pre-school provider. 

At peak pedestrian traffic times, the start and end of the school day, the main front gates are closed when possible, and manned- when possible,  to monitor traffic passing through. Traffic can be expected at all other times, for the school and Nursery. 

As a public thoroughfare, Wyburns takes no responsibility for the children in this shared area. Please ensure the children are mindful of the road.

We ask Parents/ Carers to drop their children at either Key Stage security gate-

We open both gates at 8.40am every day and the children will go straight into the classroom to prepare for the day. 

KS1 8:45am    KS1 Gate closes at 8:50 for registration at 8:55am

                   KS2 8:40am    KS2 Gate closes at 8:55 for registration at 9:00am

Where there is a member of staff welcoming the children and monitoring entry.

Arrivals 5 minutes after these times will receive a late mark.

Our school days adds up to 32.5 hours each week.

Please ensure that children travelling independently to school do not arrive in advance of this time. 

At the end of the school day-

KS1 3:10pm

KS2 3:15pm

the children are handed directly to the care of parents/ carers at the classroom door. Children travelling independently are also released at these exits, to make their way home.
