Literacy
In the Early Years we love a book! Stories are a part of our daily routine. We enjoy sharing and discussing stories and our opinions about them. We enjoy acting stories out and base a lot of our learning around the books that we love.
The children begin the exciting journey towards reading and writing, learning about letters and the sounds they make. We learn how to blend sounds in order to read and segment the sounds we hear in words in order to have a go at writing them.
