Summer 2 - Week 1

Wow, our first week back is done already! What a week it has been too.

In maths, we have begun looking at fractions. Recognsing and finding halves of shapes? Smashed it. The same with amounts? Smashed it again. Our learning was practical first and then in books, which gave us a solid understanding. Next stop, quarters!

Our new unit in English is setting descriptions, so to start us off we made our very own castles with our partners. We then labelled them using sticky notes, making sure to use adjectives! This will help us with the planning and writing process and we cannot wait to get stuck in!

In RE, he have been investigating Hinduism and Islam. We looked at the prophet Muhammad and his experiences in the cave on Mount Hira, and when learning about Hinduism, we looked at Hindu creation stories. Here is our retelling of how many Hindus believe Brahma created the world.
