Primary School

Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!

Spring 2 - Week 4 and 5

Week 4 was filled with lots of class quizzes, but we also had British Science Week! We had lots of fun jobs as part of our early morning work but also planned and began an investigation about how germs can affect mould growth. We wiped bread on different surfaces and placed them into labelled bags. in the coming weeks, we will keep an eye on how mouldy the different slices have become. Gross, but interesting gross!

Week 5's learning took us to all different places. In maths, we are now looking at place value within 50. To give us a solid base, we created and played games to help us with counting and recognising numbers within 50. This is already serving us well!

In English, we have begun working on non-chronological reports. More specifically, fact files! We have now created our own animals and will be creating fact files about them to teach others what they are like, what they eat, where they live and various other fun facts!

We have also begun work on our super exciting project with Ford! We are making our own cars which will soon be judged as part of the Ford competition with Primary engineer. The hard work began and we couldn't wait for the rest!

Gymnastics was also super fun! We used the apparatus to work on balance, over, under and through. Here are some snaps!
