Next week I'll get to see your creative side when you all write your marvellous myths. I can't wait to read them!

We'll also be looking at fractions next week so lots of learning going on!

Don't forget Homework is due in every Friday - if there is an issue getting it in on time please let me know by Wednesday at the latest so we can sort something out. There is also Homework club every Monday for those children who would like to go.

See you all on Monday :-)

Miss F

Saturday 12th November

What a week Class 4. Time is moving so quickly! Some amazing reports about the Trojan War this week but my favourite writing came from your Remembrance Haiku's. All I can say is WOW! You managed to blow me away with your poetry. You all knew how important it was to deliver from the heart, and you certainly did!

Next week we will look at our final myth before finally writing our own. I hope you've enjoyed learning about all the mythical beings (I certainly have!)

Maths this week was challenging and I know I made some of your brains hurt but, as always, you showed amazing resilience and kept trying! We'll be consolidating your knowledge next week.

Have a great weekend and see you all on Monday.

Miss Fagence :-)

I hope you all had a relaxing half term and are now ready for my favourite time of year! We have a busy half term in the run up to Christmas so we need to ensure we are fully rested for the challenge!

We kicked off our learning with the Trojan war today - lots of fantastic freeze frames depicting different parts.

This term we will continue to improve our times tables and spellings as well as learning how to up level our writing.

I'm so looking forward to getting stuck into learning with you all. Remember our class targets - Be independent learners!

See you all in the morning :-)

The Trojan War

14th October 2016

What a week Class 4. We only went and won the BB cup again! Well done for your fantastically brilliant behaviour!

Today we visited the CLC in Wickford, and you all fully embraced the experience and had an amazing time. Thank you to all the parents that helped out today - we really couldn't have done it without you.

Next week is our final week before we can have a rest and recharge the batteries ready for a busy half term leading up to Christmas. There is homework this week (though lots of you left your folders at school with the homework inside!)  So please ensure that is back by next Friday. I'll be giving out the holiday homework on Thursday next week as I'm not in on the Friday.

Keep practising the spellings and times tables as they will continue as normal next week.

Super proud of you all today and look forward to more brilliance on Monday.

Miss F

Please remember to bring a disposable packed lunch on Friday 14th October, unless you have ordered a white band from school.

We look forward to seeing your brilliance on International Day!

Performance tickets are on sale now, ready for our amazingly brilliant show next week.

Keep calm class 4 the holidays are almost here :-)

Our reading around the world challenge starts this week (26/09/16). The children will bring home their passport tomorrow. Every time they read to a country they will receive their certificate and reward tick! GET READING CLASS 4!

Sunday 25th September

So week 3 and we've managed to fight off stiff competition to keep the BB cup. Well done Class 4 - absolutely BRILLIANT!

We've had a busy week  auditioning and taking on the parts in our production. Well done to all those who have stepped up and learnt their lines already! There hasn't been other homework this weekend as the children have their lines to practise. Homework will go out tomorrow but isn't due in for 2 weeks because of the extra workload the children have. Spellings and times tables will still be a focus though so keep practising those.

Spellings in Year 4

The children have two different spelling lists to learn. A smaller list that is going to be tested on a Monday (from w/c 3/10/16) and the list from their phase spellings - tested every Wednesday.

As always the phase spellings are as a result of a spelling diagnostic carried out each term. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this please do not hesitate to contact me.

This term is flying by....week 4 already!

Mad Science club starts tomorrow (weds 21/09/16). Please see the office if you would like to take part in this amazing club full of fantastic experiements!

An amazing second week back! The children are working really hard in Maths to master place value and rounding numbers to 10,100 and 1000 whilst still behaving beautifully.

The Brilliance cup is now in our classroom - well deserved joint winners this week! Well done Class 4.

We celebrated Roald Dahl day in style and have been looking at the BFG. Some amazing sketches and watercolours are now on display along with our hopes and dreams for year 4.

Keep up your amazing thirst for learning Year 4. I'm so proud of you!

Have a great weekend and see you all Monday :-)

Friday 9th September
