Week Beg: 13.9.2021

What a jam packed week we have had Class 4!!!

Class 4 had been very busy in Maths continuing to build their place value knowledge. We have worked practically with dienes and place value counters, put all this knowledge into finding 1, 10, 100 and 1000 more and less than a given number and even tried some tricky problem solving questions. We are place value superstars!!!

In our English lessons we have enjoyed exploring the Michael Morpurgo version of 'Pinocchio' and have had lots of fun creating 'Freeze Frame' images and expanding our vocabulary by retelling the story.

Swimming was great fun on Wednesday morning. The children were very happy to get into the water and enjoyed beginning to build on their knowledge from last year. Well done to all of you.

Our afternoons have all been themed around the Science topic of 'Light' where we have been finding out about light sources, reflective materials and even took part in a mini investigation task. We showed great team work skills.
