Wyburns

Primary School

Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!

Week Beginning - 15.11.21

As always, it has been a busy week in Class 4! In maths we have been practising multiplication and division skills, in English we have been continuing to explore features used in persuasive writing and preparing to write our own persuasive speech as well as french, computing, high five netball and lots of PSHE activities to support 'Children in Need.' How are those random acts of kindness coming along? I wonder how many you have managed to complete!

We had a very special visitor to Wyburns on Thursday via Zoom...Michael Rosen himself!!! We were so excited listening to his funny stories and amazing poetry and it was lovely to hear him sharing his ideas about writing creative poetry. We even got to meet Sticky McStickStick and ask Michael questions  about his favourite poems, his childhood and how he was inspired to write poetry by his Dad at a very early age. Did he inspire you to have a go at writing? We would love to see any of your ideas.

You all looked very spotty, stripy and colourful for our 'Dress up Friday' to support 'Children in Need' and it was so lovely to see that some of you had really been creative to make your own Pudsey items. Miss Lund is busy counting up your donations and we will find out how much Wyburns raised next week. Thank you for supporting this wonderful charity!
