Every child has brilliance inside them. Our job is to dig it out and give it to the world!
What a week of brilliance!! Everyone came in full of smiles this week and ready to learn! Read on to see some of the things we have already been up to in our maths and English this week.
In our maths, we have been working on our place value knowledge. We worked on sorting and grouping objects before beginning work on numbers and representing them. There's plenty more brilliance where this came from, so stay tuned!
Here are some photos of us having fun and getting hands on in our sorting lesson...
For our English, we have been finding out what nouns are. We listened to this super catchy song to help us and we even all know the chorus now. "What is a noun? Everybody sing..."
We then went on a nature walk in the sensory garden to find lots of 'things', which we now know are nouns. Here are some pictures of us being explorers...
Class 1 have had a fantastic time this week and have blown us all away! They have come back to school full of smiles, positivity and resilience and we cannot wait to see what brilliance is in store this year. They have taken to life in Year 1 like ducks to water and we couldn't be prouder of the start they have made! Well done, Class 1!
