Summer 1 - Week 3

Class 1 really enjoyed teaching Year 2 how to plant seeds after writing wonderful instructions

We have now started to look at writing recounts in English. We are going to time travel and become survivors of the Great Fire of London and write about our experiences. We first looked at a model text and found all the different features, such as past tense, time conjunctions, adjectives and verbs. We then used what we had learnt in history to create an informative video to retell the events of the Great Fire. This will help us to write the events in order. Check us out!

In maths we have now moved onto multiplication and division, working on counting in 2s, 5s and 10s! This will be ongoing as we continue to practise. We are excited to delve deeper into this area of maths over the next couple of weeks!

We have also had fun preparing for the King's Coronation and designed some plant pots in aid of this. We think they look amazing and cannot wait to take them home  Here are some of our designs...
