    Wed 22 Jul 2020

Wishing you all a restful and relaxing summer. Although things may be different, it is time to breathe a little and make use of all the new skills we have learnt.  All of The Wyburns Team- children, parents, staff- should be so proud of how they have embraced change and worked together to overcome difficulties.

I look forward to us all being back together in September.

    Kath Sansom

Well done everyone! You have risen to the unprecedented challenges over the past few months and have impressed us with your resilience and positive attitudes. I have loved chatting to you over zoom and via GC and feel that I have found out more about you all. You have entertained not only me, but your classmates too: posting quizzes and riddles aplenty. Though I will miss them over the summer, it is time to relax and (hopefully) enjoy the summer sun!

Recharge those batteries and we look forward to welcoming you back in September and hearing about all of your amazing adventures. For me, I am determined to read the stack of books that I ordered at the beginning of lockdown and haven’t got around to yet!

    Enjoy all!

    Mrs Fagence

Well done Wyburns! We have stuck together in these strange times to continue the Wyburns spirit of 'we just can't do it yet' and even got into the new spirit of 'we are awesome at online learning'. I am so very proud of each and every one of you for putting your absolute best into all your work and meetings. It has been a pleasure to read your work and a highlight of the week to see all your smiling faces. Good luck to everyone in year 6 and I hope everyone has a wonderful summer holiday. Look forward to seeing you all soon!

    Miss Lund

WOW! What a strange year it has been. Well done to all of you for being so resilient, positive and brilliant throughout these strange times and a special good luck to all the Year 6 children who are moving onto new adventures.

To my little Year 1s, I want to say a huge thank you for being such super stars, keeping me smiling with your brilliance and for working your socks off. I am so very proud of you all for taking to the Zoom calls and Google Classroom so well and for always being the best that you can be both working in school and working at home. I have enjoyed every moment of being your teacher this year and wish you lots of luck in Year 2.

Enjoy the summer holidays everyone - rest, relax, stay safe and have lots of fun!

I can’t wait to see you all again in September.

    Mrs Ferrari 😊

    Dear Children,

I wish you all a magical, marvellous summer at home with your families! You have been working so hard at school and at home and now it is time to have some summer fun!

As you may know, I am leaving Wyburns School to start a new adventure. I am sorry that I did not get a chance to say a proper goodbye to you all. I have been so lucky to have had the chance to work with so many of you over the years. It has been a privilege to see you growing and blossoming into such wonderful little people. You have brought me such joy and laughter and a whole host of amazing memories that I can take with me. I will miss you all a great deal but I promise to stay in touch.

    Lots of Love,

    Mrs Adkins x

Wonderful Wyburns – we made it through! It’s been a strange old year but we have really pulled together and stayed positive throughout. You have done us all so incredibly proud and you have kept us going with your pictures and stories about everything you have been up to. You have also continued your brilliance by working at home, showing your grown-ups what wonderful workers you truly are and still showing that all important resilience that we so value here at Wyburns. Have a lovely summer and a well-deserved rest and we cannot wait to see you all in September!
    Miss Hasson

We are so proud of you all and we have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your home learning work, work on the website and many fun filled video clips. • September- what will it look like?

    Mon 13 Jul 2020

    Dear Parents/ Carers,

Now the children have met their new classes, the obvious question must be- what will September look like?

We are currently putting together that offer, with daily updated guidance from the powers that be.

As soon as the plan is in place I will share, in detail.

Please bear with us whilst we cover all the possibilities.

Everyone is so excited with the thoughts of being back, we just need to make sure it is the best plan it can be.

    Best wishes

  • Keylink Counsellors

    Fri 10 Jul 2020

Keylink counsellors are a group of 100 qualified, insured and government registered counsellors and psychotherapist practitioners, offering their services free of charge, to frontline and keylink workers who maybe under stress and who may appreciate psychological support, during and associated with the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Everything Keylink are doing is free of charge, there's no money involved and everyone is volunteering. Whilst our offer is available during and beyond the summer holidays, we'd like to make teachers and staff (and keyworker parents) aware of it now, before schools break up at the end of term.

Keylink Counsellors recognise that you may already have psychological services in place, however hope we can support existing provision, if only as an interim resource. Registration, for up to six telephone or video sessions can be done simply here keylinkcounsellors.co.uk/key-worker-registration
