    Dear Parents/ Carers,

I hope you have enjoyed some festivities and that Santa was kind.

As you will have heard, schools in our area will now start on 18th January, fingers crossed.

We will continue with our remote learning on 4th January as planned- so no children in school.

From 5th January places will be offered in school to our vulnerable families and critical workers. Remote learning will continue for all other children led through Google Classroom; this may include learning packs where required.

A google form will be sent to our known critical workers today. If you now fit the above guidance and require a place in school, please email your details to homelearning@wyburns.org or admin@wyburns.org by 12pm, 1st January 2021.

Further clarification will be shared as details are finalised.

Best wishes and let us hope for a 2021 we can celebrate.

  • One step ahead.

    Mon 07 Dec 2020

    Dear Parents/ Carers,

We have been fortunate to last the term with, so far,  just 2 bubble closures; thanks to a sensible approach to identifying symptoms and organising tests where necessary.

You may well have seen on the news that the cases locally are rising significantly. Please take extra care to maintain the 2m+ distance around the school and when out and about.

Essex/ DFE guidance is clear that only essential items are brought into school by children and staff. This, sadly, has meant no actual christmas cards- but we are having our class cards instead which will be displayed on the website. We ask that children do not exchange gifts in school please.

Also, many of you generously share gifts/cards with staff. Unfortunately this will not be possible at this current time, thank you for the thought. I am sure staff would appreciate a Christmas email or message on GC.

Bubble closure can cause difficulties with child care and transport for siblings. If your friendship/ family circles are unable to support transport, please contact the school office.

Please have a back up plan ready, just in case a bubble closes- one step ahead. :)

    Best wishes

    Team Wyburns
